Configuration Files

Black Magic configuration files typically require no user intervention. However, users may need to locate these files if corruption occurs or when transferring settings to a new computer.

Locating Configuration Files

Follow these steps to find your Black Magic configuration:

  1. Open Windows File Explorer
  2. Select "This PC" from the left sidebar
  3. Open the C: drive (may be labeled "Windows" or similar)
  4. Navigate to this folder path:
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Value_Tech_Inc\BlackMagic.exe_[random characters]

Replace YOURNAME with your Windows username.

Transferring Configuration to a New PC

Simply copy the contents of the BlackMagic.exe_[random characters] folder to the identical location on your new computer using a USB drive or network share.

Resolving Corrupt Configuration Files

If Black Magic malfunctions and you suspect configuration corruption:

  1. Close Black Magic completely
  2. Delete the BlackMagic.exe_[random characters] folder
  3. Restart Black Magic

The application will regenerate its configuration files automatically upon launch.
